Former Teams and Awards

The University of the State of Rio de Janeiro has participated in the VisMoot since its 18th edition (2011) and has achieved excellent results. 

At UERJ's first participation in the competition, the team won, together with another brazilian university, an Honorable Mention for its Respondent's memorandum.  No other latin-american university had won this award before. 

The effort and dedication of all members and coaches had led UERJ to be considered as the brazilian team most consistently awarded, obtaining three times the Martin Domke Award (Honorable Mention), twice the Werner Melis Award (Honorable Mention) and once the Frédéric Eisemann Award (Honorable Mention), not only for the excellence of its memos but also for the distinction of its speakers. 

UERJ has been described, in publications and by foreign universities, as "very strong team" and "one of the best Brazilian Teams".
